To facilitate mainstreaming of national cohesion and values in programmes, projects and activities, MDAs are advised to follow the 2019/2020 Performance Contract guidelines below:

2019/2020 Performance Contract Guidelines on National Cohesion and Values Indicator:

National cohesion and values is an indicator that aims at promoting national cohesion and national values and principles of governance. It also aims at creating a transformed, cohesive, peaceful, united and values-driven nation.

Ministries, Departments and Agencies are required to align and implement commitments and way forward in the 2018, 6th Annual President’s Report on the measures taken and progress achieved in the realisation of  national values and principles of governance.

To achieve this MDAs are expected to:

I. Implement at least five (5) commitments relevant to their mandate and submit in the prescribed format an annual progress report on the implementation of the commitments and way forward captured in the 2018, 6th Annual President’s Report on National Values and Principles of Governance (60%).

II. Submit in the prescribed format the Annual President’s Report on the measures taken and the progress achieved in the realisation of national values and principles of governance (40%).

The above reports shall be submitted to the Directorate of National Cohesion and Values by 15th January, 2020 through either a signed hard or soft copy emailed to info2@cohesionandvalues.go.ke or nationalvalues2017@gmail.com.

NB: The Directorate will analyze MDAs’ annual reports and issue a certificate of compliance at the end of the performance contract period.
