- TRAINING OF FAITH LEADERS
The Directorate intends to hold a training workshop for faith leaders of the Kenya National Congress of Pentecostal Churches and Ministries between 7th and 10th June, 2016, at Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu. This will equip the faith leaders with the relevant skills, knowledge and strategies for the enhancement of national cohesion and reconciliation as well as the promotion of national values and principles of governance.
A total of 40 faith leaders drawn from diverse churches of the Pentecostal Ministries, cultural backgrounds and geographical locations from across Nyanza region (Kisumu, Siaya, Kisii, Nyamira, Migori and Homabay counties) will participate in the 4-day day training.
- TRAINING OF FOCAL POINT PERSONS
The Directorate will undertake training of 100 Focal Point Officers from the various Ministries, Counties, Departments and Agencies (MCDAs) who will in turn coordinate the mainstreaming and reporting on national cohesion and national values issues in their respective institutions. The training will take place concurrently at Machakos University College in Machakos Town and Kisumu Hotel in Kisumu between 13th and 16th June, 2016.
